Asian Tofu Soup


#SingaporeWinter is not a joke. The weather has been depressing lately with non-stop rain and cloudy skies. What's odd is the fact that it's actually COLD outside which makes me want to only eat hot and warm stuff all the time.

While at home I made an Asian Tofu Soup with dashi broth to stay warm.I It is nourishing and comforting, perfect for this wet weather!

Ingredients:

- 300gram chye sim

- 2-3 slices of radish

- 2 blocks of pressed tofu

- Mushrooms (of your type)

- 2 sachets of Dashi

- 1 litre water

- Salt & Pepper

Method:

1. In a pot of boiling water (1 litre), drop 2 sachets of dashi and boil for 10-15 minutes

2. On the side cut the radish and mushroom into slices

3. Pan fry the tofu with salt & pepper till it's slightly charred

4. Boil the chye sim, radish, mushroom and tofu for another 5 minutes

5. Serve hot in a bowl
