Green Pizza

July 17, 2017

The name of this blog post is not for the type of pizza that you are thinking of. Green Pizza = almost every ingredient is plant-based and green in colour. It will not appeal to the regular pizza-eating folks but at the very least, this cuts the cholesterol and bad fats out. Recently there's someone who raved about a mayonnaise and peas pizza that caused a Twitter storm. Peas are not disgusting, but with mayo on a pizza? Probably the reason why...

Ingredients:

- Half an avocado

- 1/2 cup frozen green peas

- Half a regular sized broccoli

- 1/2 a can of chickpeas

- A few slices of onions

- Salt & pepper

- Baking powder

- Thyme powder

- Arugula for garnishing

Method:

1. Microwave the green peas and defrost them, make sure they're cooked

2. Blend the chickpeas and green peas together on high speed until smooth, add in salt & pepper, baking powder (1/8 teaspoon) , thyme powder

3. Mix well and spread on a oiled aluminium foil on a baking pan, pour a generous amount of cooked green peas a sliced onions on top

4. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees

5. Finish with sliced avocados and arugula
