
The name of this blog post is not for the type of pizza that you are thinking of. Green Pizza = almost every ingredient is plant-based and green in colour. It will not appeal to the regular pizza-eating folks but at the very least, this cuts the cholesterol and bad fats out. Recently there's someone who raved about a mayonnaise and peas pizza that caused a Twitter storm. Peas are not disgusting, but with mayo on a pizza? Probably the reason why...
Ingredients:
- Half an avocado
- 1/2 cup frozen green peas
- Half a regular sized broccoli
- 1/2 a can of chickpeas
- A few slices of onions
- Salt & pepper
- Baking powder
- Thyme powder
- Arugula for garnishing
Method:
1. Microwave the green peas and defrost them, make sure they're cooked
2. Blend the chickpeas and green peas together on high speed until smooth, add in salt & pepper, baking powder (1/8 teaspoon) , thyme powder
3. Mix well and spread on a oiled aluminium foil on a baking pan, pour a generous amount of cooked green peas a sliced onions on top
4. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 degrees
5. Finish with sliced avocados and arugula
